Wilderness Walk 12-17-2013: Game Day Edition

Hannah Foslien

Tonight the Minnesota Wild play host the the Vancouver Canucks at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.

Good morning Wilderness, and welcome to the 36th installment of the Wilderness Walk, Game Day Edition for the 2013-2014 NHL season. Tonight your Minnesota Wild host the Vancouver Canucks who have yet to lose in the month of December. This leads me to the only logical conclusion, that they would love to get that monkey off their back and lay an egg on the road.

You guys are in for a real treat tonight. Between the pipes tonight for the Canucks are one Roberto Luongo, who has never had much success playing in Minnesota, or something called Eddie Lack. Lack could be the second coming of Martin Brodeur for all I know, haven't had much an opportunity to keep up with our old friends up there in Vancouver-land. Google tells me Lack has played 8 games, posted 4 wins with a .92 SV% and 2.08 GAA.

Unfortunately for either of them, they are playing the Wild in St. Paul, a place we tend not to lose anyway and with Luongo's given track record here things could get dicey quickly for the Canucks.

It's a beautiful day for a walk folks! Lets get moving, we're burning daylight here!
