Wilderness Walk 12-9-2013: The Other End of the Spectrum

A couple chips off the old block, Dan and Giles got together for this photo op at last nights game. - Dan Czarnecki

It is a bitterly cold day for a walk in Minnesota, but this is in our nature!

Good morning Wilderness. We find ourselves here, another bitterly cold Monday morning in Minnesota and the Wild have won 3 of their last 4 games. It is so nice to find them back to their winning ways, despite being horribly out-shot by the San Jose Sharks last night at the X. Dan (WIMinnesotaWildFan) would probably like to claim all the glory for this as he improves his record to 6-0 when he attends Wild games at the X. Not that I don't believe him, but it probably has more to do with Josh Harding being 13-1 with 1.25 GAA and .945 SV% in the friendly confines of the Xcel Energy Center.

Try to stay warm out there today folks, a couple more of these and things may decide to warm up a bit for you as a reward.

Remember when the Wild were allowing just 13 shots on goal and losing games? So this is how it feels to be dominated but win.

The Team of 18,001: Gary Bettman, Get Rid Of This Garbage
What Giles didn't mention here on about the Kadri debacle, Granlund is still missing from the Wild's lineup in part because of the garbage mentioned in this piece. I just saw the Thorton/Orpik fiasco last night. It really makes me sick. I know Thorton has apologized up the whazoo, and you can almost tell he knew immediately the severity and sheer stupidity of what he had done. It's just horrible, it's not hockey, it has nothing to do with the sport whatsoever.
