Wilderness Walk for 2-12-2013: Game Day Edition.... Again.

They left a sour taste in our mouth here 5 days ago, lets return the favor. - Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Wild won last night, again! That's 2 in a row! Can we keep the momentum going tonight and avenge a ugly loss to the Canucks last week?

Good morning wilderness, and a beautiful morning it is indeed! If you were able to stay awake last night you were treated (or tortured) to an overtime shootout win, on the road nonetheless. It marks the Wild's first road victory of the season in just 5 attempts. Wes Walz tweeted this last night:

While I'm forced to agree with you Mr. Walz, I must say that their is such a thing as an ugly game. Last nights show in Calgary showed us just how bad one team can make another look. Kudos to the Wild for making Calgary look bad. At any rate, your Minnesota Wild were awarded 2 points at the end of the contest and have now won 2 in a row in consecutive overtime games. These points they are giving up in OT/SO wins could come back to haunt them. Though I wouldn't much worry about it from the likes of the Flames, the Predators however could be problematic in the very near future.

Tonight the Wild move their mini tour of western Canada on to the beautiful (when their citizens aren't rioting a loss) city of Vancouver where they face off against the Canucks. Hope you have the coffee ready, its going to be a late night once again as the western time zone is prepped and ready to bite you firmly in the ass. The Wild are 28-27-5-9 all-time against the Canucks, lets hope we are given a reason to stay awake tonight. Lets get into the links, shall we?
