Tonight the Minnesota Wild continue their difficult march to solidify their place in the playoffs against the Los Angeles Kings who are on a tear right now. The Kings are coming into tonight's game having won their last 6 consecutive games and 11 of their last 14 games. Their defense is ranked 2nd in the NHL and is tops in the West, which is not good news for a team as goal starved as the Wild.
The wild card race is still pretty tight as currently the Wild sit 3 points ahead of the Phoenix Coyotes and 4 points ahead of the Dallas Stars who are outside looking in. The Vancouver Canucks need some major help here but are not out of it yet. Here is how the playoff picture looks going into tonight's action.
The game is in L.A. which means we'll all be up pretty late tonight. Sounds like Ilya Bryzgalov will get the nod tonight as Darcy Kuemper is struggling to find his game lately. Things can always change though, Southern California has been plagued with earthquakes lately so who knows if it will even be there for the game tonight.

As much as we've all fallen in love with Darcy Kuemper, it may be time to let him sit and relax, try to get back to the game we all have seen him play.

Preds play it safe as Jones deals with concussion-like symptoms | ProHockeyTalk
I'll never get why the call it "concussion-like symptoms". He either has one or he doesn't (he does) and why dance around the issue when the league as a whole is trying to do all they can to treat and prevent these things?
