Preview: Blues @ Wild: Game 80

Jonathan Daniel

Beat 'em up boys.

Earlier this week, the Wild clinched the top wild-card spot in the West, defeating Boston in a shootout. Tonight, the Wild play the  St. Louis Blues. The Blues have not been too friendly to Minnesota. Minnesota trails the season series 0-3-1, in fact the Wild are winless in its last nine contests against St. Louis. It starts with Brian Elliot, who is 6-0-0 with a 1.83 GAA, a .914 SV% and two shutouts in seven career games against the Wild. Oh yeah, that's not even their number one guy. St. Louis acquired Ryan Miller at the deadline. He was the goalie or something for those games in February.

Bryz will be be between the pipes, and will look to remain undefeated in regulation. In his career, Bryz is 6-11-2 with a 3.14 GAA, .895 SV% and two shutouts in 19 games against St. Louis. Mr. Russo alliterated that Heater and Rupp will most likely be dressing tonight. David Blane said that Granlund and Kuemper are making progress, and Josh Harding returned to practice last week.

The Wild has earned points in six straight games (5-0-1), including seven of a possible eight points against the last four franchises to win the Stanley Cup in that span. So lets take it to these bullies, eh?
