What do you see when you're angry?
I don't know about you, but when i think about anger I see red (or green in cases involving the incredible Hulk). Both red and green, of course, being the colors of our favorite team the Minnesota Wild. Why am i talking about such random things in a hockey blog? Well it could be because this is my first post, but i doubt. Its more because i want to bring to light the not-so-postworthy, low points of this past season.
This 2013/2014 season has been full of major ups and downs (remember the stretch of losses in December/January that finally ended with us, thankfully, defeating the worst team in the league) which gets people's blood boiling both from the elation of a hard-fought win, or from rage inducing shutouts. Every major fan of Hockey has either seen someone or participated in a hockey hissy fit (throwing things, shouting, flipping off the ref through the tv) and those situations are primarily what i enjoy the most about the sport. Its all entertainment and the rivalries and drama all point to it.
Yelling at the screen is one of my favorite things to do during a game, despite living in an apartment and getting yelled at by my girlfriend for scaring the neighbors. It shows i have pride and love for the game, and the team, taking the brunt of my emotions. Every call, every bad shot, every missed opportunity, every little tiny little thing that our players do wrong, just builds to make me love the game even more.... through anger...
Got anything that made you angry this season? I would love to hear it and share in your anger.
