USA's Knight Goes Up Close and Personal in ESPN's Body Issue

Team USA and Boston Blades star Hilary Knight posed for ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue, on stands July 11.

Hilary Knight stripped down and showed some muscle for ESPN The Magazine, participating in the publication's annual "Body Issue." I'll bite my tongue about the ridiculous way this was headlined on ESPN's website because I'm saving that for a later post.

Either way, the elite forward looked strong and comfortable in her skin as she posed for the cameras in the video above, and aside from some fun anecdotes about growing up playing hockey, also had some cool things to say about society's perception of healthy, athletic women:

There is this image of athletic women as small and petite -- the yoga body type. Women in general, we tend to shrink ourselves and not have as much confidence as we should in presenting ourselves and our body types. It's OK to be fit and healthy and comfortable within your body, whatever frame you have.

Real talk if I ever heard it.

The Body Issue hits stands July 11.
