Sharks and Vancouver Make A Deal

13

In what looks like the possible first of a few moves involved in restructuring the Sharks, they've dealt puck moving blue liner Christian Ehrhoff and stay at home type Brad Lukowich to the Canucks in exchange for Daniel Rahimi and Patrick White. Could the Leafs move a blue liner to San Jose?

Spurs acquire Jefferson from Bucks

7

NEW YORK -- Two league sources confirm that Milwaukee and San Antonio have agreed to the framework of a deal that would send Richard Jefferson to San Antonio for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto. A source said the two sides are working toward setting up a trade call with the NBA for late Tuesday. The Bucks are sending Jefferson away less than a year after acquiring the scoring forward in a draft day trade last season for Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons. Jefferson's contract has two years and $29.2 million remaining on it. Bowen, Thomas and Oberto give the Bucks a veteran group and financial flexibility. None are signed beyond the upcoming season.

Peavy was willing to pitch in Boston

Schneider to Canadiens

(linked above) Not really relevant to the BoC, but since he's an ex-Duck I thought it was worth a mention. Apparently the game tonight between Montreal and Washington will be his first in his return to the Canadiens. Montreal also snagged a conditional draft pick in return for a pick later this year and one next year. I think Montreal got the better end of this one - I'm not sure how Atlanta benefits from getting rid of Schneider besides halving the average age of the team.

Polling GSoM: Heat and Raptors Trade

Well it looks like the first big trade of the 2008-2009 NBA season has gone down- and no, the Adam Morrison for Valdamir Radmanovic trade doesn't count. The Miami Heat have traded Shawn Marion and...

"Sacramento's Brad Miller for Odom"

4

"And see if this sounds familiar: Suddenly, all eyes turn toward Odom. He's on the salary cap for $14 million and with a marginalized role, the Lakers want to defer a decision until after the season, unless the bottom falls out. They might actually be able to get Sacramento's Brad Miller for Odom, since the Kings were willing to trade them Ron Artest for Odom last season."

Wild Acquire Dan Fritsche for Erik Reitz
