Wild vs. Columbus game not on TV, I watched the Gophers instead (12/8)

The Minnesota Wild vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets game was not on TV so I had to read about it in the paper and on-line of course. Since I am addicted to Minnesota hockey, I spent the night watching the of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team beat the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux in a tough match-up in Grand Forks. I love Minnesota hockey and if the Wild aren’t on TV or at the Xcel, the Golden Gophers are a perfect substitute!

The Gophers won 4-3 getting two goals from freshman forward Mike Hoeffel, one from Blake Wheeler and another from Ben Gordon. The maroon and gold played tough and needed the victory to hush the rumbling of Gopher fans that are not happy with the Gopher season thus far. Minnesota Gopher hockey fans expect the Gophers to be a top contender every season (just like Wild fans) and this year the Gophers are a bit on the mediocre side.

One thing the Minnesota Wild and the Gopher hockey team always have in common...game tickets are hard to find. Unless you are a Gopher season ticket holder or a University of Minnesota student or willing to wait in line for days to buy single game tickets, most Gopher hockey games are sold-out. Mariucci Arena, home of the Gophers hockey team, is one of the best college hockey arenas in the country and represents the deep tradition of Minnesota hockey. Mariucci Arena tickets to the hottest match-ups are tough to find. Of course you can get Gopher hockey tickets from local ticket brokers like Ticket King, but finding them at face value is nearly impossible...just like Wild tickets.
