Good morning all. As we try to bring you commentary on the Minnesota Wild and the NHL in general, we also want to ensure that we spread the good word of youth hockey. Without youth hockey players, and the parents who tirelessly drudge across the frozen tundra for 5:00 am ice time, there would be no NHL, and we wouldn't have this fantastic outlet.
Now, we know how much you hockey parents love to talk about your kids. Seriously. So, in that vein, here's a great way to brag about your kid and win really cool stuff!
No Name® is searching for the Original Kid of the Year…Could one of the kids in your school be the one?
Please spread the word for a chance to win $3,000 for one of the schools in your district! Entries will be collected in essay form, 100 words or less, and will be judged based on school performance, community service and involvement in extracurricular activities.
In addition to $3,000, the Original Kid of the Year will get to throw a party at the Xcel Energy Center with a MinnesotaWild player, receive one year’s worth of No Name® products and more! Also, 100 essay entrants will be randomly selected to win MN Wild game tickets! Please visit wwww.nonameoriginalkid.com to enter submissions or for additional details.
Grand prize – party at Xcel for 100 friends and family and an appearance by a Minnesota Wild player, 1 year’s worth of No Name products and a $3,000 donation to your school.
Six finalists – attend a finalist ceremony and Wild home game, $1,000 donation to your school.
100 first place winners – receive tickets to a Wild home game just for submitting an essay.
So go for it. Share your stories here because we all love cute kid stories, but more importantly go win that party!!
