With JS having his own series, I thought I would jump onto the bandwagon as well and create Cn The Rise! The series will primarily focus on the Minnesota Wild prospects and potential Wild draft picks. On The Rise will also provide weekly updates on the team's prospects and help you keep track on how they are developing.

If you want to follow the prospects as I do but through an easy-to-read format, follow my Prospect Tracker on HFboards or follow me on twitter @circulartheory.

In this first issue of the On The Rise series, I will introduce you to the Prospect Weekly Update!

Prospect of the Week

This Weeks Statistics:

Name Games Played
Saves
Goals Against Average
Save Percentage
Darcy Kuemper
2 50 1.00 0.960

Locked for the starting goaltending job with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League, Kuemper turned in two solid performances to open up his season, saving a total of 48 shots out of 50 to lead the Rebels to a 4-1 and then an 8-1 victory.

And although it is only the start of the regular season and with only a few games played, Kuemper still gets the nod for Prospect of the Week over highly regarded prospects Mikael Granlund and Brett Bulmer.
