With little to no surprise in my digital typing voice, I tell you now that Josh Harding has been named the NHL's First Star of the Week.I say that with no surprise, because Harding was filthy good last week. Three wins, no losses, .968 save %, and a minuscule 0.99 GAA.
From NHL.com:
Harding's stellar play puts Wild coach Mike Yeo in a tough but enviable position, with two strong goaltenders. In five games this season, Harding is 4-0-1 and leads the League with a .965 save percentage and is third with a 1.18 GAA, while Niklas Backstrom is 3-3-2 in eight games, with a 2.30 GAA and .912 save percentage.
As a team, the Wild are second in the League allowing just 1.92 goals per game.
Not bad for a career backup, eh? What say you, Wilderness, well deserved honor?
