Welcome back, everyone. Hope you got everything you ever dreamed of yesterday.
Today we get back in the saddle and back to work. Or... what passes for work these days. After all, people in Alberta aren't going to offend themselves. We get back into the habit of catching up on the news of the day, and back in the habit of having the same stale insults thrown around and making us, at this point, simply shake our heads.
Remember when everyone simply ignored the Wild? Can we go back to that?
Today's Walk is fairly short. Some good stuff about the WJC (which starts today). Really that's about it. Enjoy.
Notes: Mikko Koivu returns tonight. Looks like Greg Zanon may be a scratch, even with Clayton Stoner out with injury.
What We Learned: Fun while it lasted, but here come the Canucks - Puck Daddy - NHL Blog - Yahoo! Sports - Wow. A comparison to the Avs from two years ago, and talk about how Wild fans need to be honest with themselves. If this had been written two months ago, it may have been funny. Written today, it's just kind of sad.
Tending the Fields
The Third Intermission: Taking A Look Back - Good stuff.
Michael Russo's Sunday Insider: Aeros feel Wild's pain | StarTribune.com - From yesterday, but still relevant. Make sure you read this.
Fan Fuel: World Junior darkhorse teams - sportsnet.ca - Another good read. A few Wild prospects listed.
The dream begins today - Indeed. USA! USA!
Off the Trail
Questions linger over Team Canada goaltending - I didn't think Luongo was junior eligible anymore. Huh. Good for him.
Michael Russo's short takes: Dec. 25 | StarTribune.com - Some interesting tidbits.
