Defending the Blue Line and Beyond

Hey Hockey Wilderness. My name's Mike Gruber, I'm a paratrooper from Saint Cloud, Minnesota with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. I stumbled across the SB Nation when looking for a game recap of a Wild game a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I've become a pretty big fan.

For those of you that showed interest in the Wild's "Defending the Blue Line" annual skate, I thank you. If any of you are truly interested into giving to some that gave a whole lot, please check out the following non-profit organizations:

IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) - http://iava.org/

Focuses on helping Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans and their families make the transition to civilian life. Works extensively with the Veteran's Affairs department and offers help for former service-members suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation - http://www.mophsf.org/

Helps disabled veterans who have been wounded in combat by hostile fire and the families of service members killed in action.

Wounded Warrior Project - http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

Provides aid to wounded service members by increasing public awareness of the needs of wounded warriors and supports direct programs that meet those needs.

Please take the time to consider donating to any of these three organizations.

All gave some, some gave all. Thank you for reading.

Airborne!
