Wilderness Walk for 4-20-2011

Happy Spring everyone! Oh... wait... two inches of snow fell last night in the Twin Cities. Never mind on that whole "spring" thing. Turns out, Mother Nature is the crazy girl who can't let things go when you say it's over. Oh, well, at least the Wild are still alive in the playoffs... wait... that's not the case either, is it?

In better news, the Aeros swept the Peoria Rivermen, so at least someone tangentially connected to Minnesota is winning. Woot.

The Third Intermission: Thoughts and Notes From A Sweep of Peoria - See? Told you they swept.

Houston Aeros make quick work of Peoria, advances to second round | - In case you didn't believe me, or the fine folks at T3I.

Fletcher on the road to make Wild better | - Yeah. Bring home hte lesser Granlund, too, will ya? Just sneak him in a bag or something.

UMD forward Fontaine signs two-year deal | - You all knew this, right? Because you saw it on Twitter and here on HW last night. Right? RIGHT? Also, Russo reports that Mikale Granlund is expected to start his military service as well.

Which, of course, Granlund did today (yesterday?). From dasb00t on Twitter:

#mnwild top prospect Mikael Granlund started his military service together with Wild Captain Mikko Koivu in the same unit at Lahti Finland.
