Nick Johnson is a scratch tonight for the first time since joining the Wild. The Best Waiver Claim Ever has had a pretty rough go as of late, and is off his game. As we wrote in the Stock Market piece, we feel it has to do with Johnson playing on a team that has given up around him. Tough to fight through that. It's unfortunate, but Johnson could maybe use a game or two to get his bearings. Let's hope he finds his way through it.

Hackett will start again, Harding the backup. Niklas Backstrom took some shots at practice, so maybe he is close to a return. Who knows.

The Stars are a good hockey team at just the right moment. They are very much the anti-Wild. They struggled early, and have found their game. They sit in the number 3 seed, and atop the Pacific Division. The Wild are not normally good against the Stars, and the way the Stars are playing, this could get out of hand.

All part of the master plan.

Enjoy the game

Five Questions:

  1. Can we get a Norm Green Sucks chant? Please? Just for old time's sake?
  2. With players getting somewhat healthy, can the Search for Pride resume, or is it Dive for Top Five?
  3. Any progress in Hackett's play tonight?
  4. Clutterbuck returns. Is that a spark?
  5. Devin Setoguchi has been good lately. Does that continue?
