Community NHL Mock Draft 2012: Chicago Blackhawks

New, comments

As we continue forward toward the end of our mock draft, the teams are only going to get more and more talented. That sentence serves two purposes. First, to remind you that what these teams need is going to become more and more difficult. Second, to remind you that good teams got to be good through the draft. The Blackhawks are no different.

Most of their core is made up of players they drafted and developed. The Hawks were a terrible team for a number of years before finally returning to the top of the mountain. During those lean years, the GMs drafted well, developed even better, and created what you see today.

Now, you have to step into the role of the GM of an Original 6 team near the height of the league in any given year. What do you do to keep your team there?
