Hey everyone, I know it's late and you're probably out celebrating doubly hard for your independance and for the big-time moves CF and the team pulled off today, so I'll keep this short. I just wanted to slip in a quick Happy 4th of July to the readers of Hockey Wilderness, from your (probably) favorite moose.

While today is America's day and us Canadians had our day a few days ago, today is also the Wild's fanbase's day. USA's own Zach Parise and Ryan Suter have brought relevance to this team today. Fans in Minnesota have gone through a lot, so to have this huge deal happen was a gift to every Wild and North Stars fan who has had it pretty hard in the last few years. What Chuck Fletcher and Craig Leipold have done is bring hope back to Minnesota. Parise and Suter may not make the Wild immediate contenders, but they're an enormous step in the right direction. The fans will (should) storm back into the X to see their new heroes and make it the loudest barn in the league. Reward Leipold, Fletcher, the rest of the brass and our new Parise/Suter tandem (feels weird, doesn't it?) for making this happen. Today is about pride. Let's show our pride, Wild fans!

But anyway, celebrate hard, Wilderness. Today is your day. Be as patriotic of your country and your team as you can be. Keep being the best readership ever. Happy 4th of July. Love you all. Peace!
