Weekly Wrap Up – Week 12

Wild – Hockey’s back. Wild Schedule to be released Wednesday or Thursday.

Aeros – The Houston Aeros began on December 28th with a 3-2 OT win against the Charlotte Checkers. Goals were scored by Petersen, Granlund and Larsson with Darcy Kuemper taking home the win. They continued on the 29th with a 1-2 OT loss for Matt Hackett against San Antionio. The lone goal was scored by Granlund. January 1st saw them facing the Oklahoma City Lumber Barons for a 4-2 win. Matt Hackett was in the net and goals were scored by Coyle, Larsson and 2 by Zucker. After a break, they faced a 3 in 3 this past weekend, starting with a 1-2 loss against the Texas Stars. Chay Genoway had the lone goal, and Matt Hackett was in the net. The following night, they faced the San Antonio Rampage for 1-0 win for Darcy Kuemper, with Nick Petersen scoring the lone goal. Last night, they were in action against the Texas Stars again for an overtime loss of 3-4 for Matt Hackett. Goals were scored by Petersen, Phillips and Larsson.

Solar Bears – The Solar Bears also played on December 28th against the Florida Everblades. Hannu Toivonen led the team to an 8-4 victory with goals scored by Severyn, Tanski, 2 by Reaves and 4 by Gendur. They were then off until January 4th when they faced the Evansville IceMen for a 1-4 loss. John Curry had the net, and the lone goal was scored by Gendur. The following night was a 4-3 shoot out win over the Toledo Walleye. John Curry took home the win with goals scored by Cruthers, Tanski and Reaves. January 6th, they were in action against the Fort Wayne Komets. Hannu Toivonen took the loss as goals by Lampmann and Wilson were not enough.
