The Minnesota Wild are set to play against THEIR BIGGEST RIVAL OF THE SEASON* tonight.
Wild fans will get another look at the most annoying fanbase in the NHL (this shouldn't be confused with Toronto fans, who for the most part are just idiots). Whether it's the "go jets go" chants, or starting goalie chants in visiting arenas, I think we would all be in agreement that the Jets can just stay at the bottom of the standings where they belong.
The Wild won the last meeting 2-1, and vastly outplayed the Jets all game. Haring only faced a total of 15 shots the entire game. It's like playing Edmonton all over again.
Notes from this morning thanks to Russo are:
- Mathew Dumba will be paired with Clayton Stoner tonight
- Harding in net tonight (duh), with Johan Gustafsson backing up. Russo thinks that Gustafsson and Darcy Kuemper will switch spots this week and that Kuemper will start against Ottawa
- Pavelec will be in net for the Jets
- Keith Ballard's injury is broken ribs, so expect him out for a bit while he recovers
T-minus 5 hours till puck drop Wilderness!
