2013-2014 season
Game 27
vs
Xcel Engery Center @ 5:00 PM
TV: FSN, FS-WI, ALT
Radio: KFAN 100.3 FM; Listen on wild.com
It's almost game time Wilderness!
The big news today is the recall of Erik Haula. According to our favorite news source Mike Russo, Mike Rupp needs to leave the team due to personal reason for a few days. Young Erik Haula was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday, so the Wild decided to call him to potentially fill in.
Coach Yeo was tight lipped during his pre-game presser, telling the media about 10 different times that the goalie decision, Parise decision, Haula decision, and the line up would be game time decisions. So, fantastic.
Parise DID partake in his usual pre-gram visualization from the bench however, and Erik Haula seemed pretty sure that he would be making his NHL debut tonight at center.
My guess is Parise plays, Harding starts and Haula actually sits. I have no basis for the last one, other than I think Fontaine has more to offer the team in terms of ready right now skill.
****Update**** According to Russo, Parise WILL be playing unless something unforeseen happens tonight.
Five Questions of the game
1.) Most people think the Avs are riding some puck luck a la Wild version 2011-2012. Avs fans are convinced the team is winning the Cup this year. Who looks correct tonight?
2.) Does Parise play?!?!
3.) In the first game of the season for these two division rivals, who looks like the better team?
4.) How long does it take Bryan to piss off Avs fans on twitter?
5.) Does Patrick Roy show Minnesota fans just how freaking crazy he is?
I'll leave you all with this fantastic goal to remind you that they Wild have almost always had the Avs number :)
