Cody McLeod Won't Face Suspension For Hit On Jonas Brodin

The Department Of Player Safety have decided that no further discipline is necessary for McLeod after his hit on Brodin.

USA TODAY Sports

In yesterday evening's game against the Colorado Avalanche, Cody McLeod received a 5 minute major and was ejected from the game for a hit from behind on Jonas Brodin that sent him head-first into the boards. Brodin was hurt but later returned to the game.

The hit was reckless and dirty, and Jonas Brodin is fortunate to not have sustained a serious injury:

McLeod received a 5-game suspension earlier in the year for boarding Niklas Kronwall and would be considered a repeat-offender:

Wild fans might recall the last time Cody McLeod boarded a Wild player and got off the hook:

What do you think, Wilderness? Did McLeod deserve a suspension, or is this the right call?
