Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues: Post game wrap up

The first period was the epitome of boring hockey. Seriously. There was a total of 16 shots between both teams, and the majority of the plays were in the middle of the rink. This is the one time I will agree with other fanbases when they say the Wild play boring hockey.

The second period didn't get much better. The Wild had 3 SOG in the first half of the period. The Blues had 6. One of those shots led to the games first goal, which unfortunately ended up in the Wild's net thanks to T.J. Oshie.

The Wild headed to the locker room after the 2^nd period down by 2 after Jaden Schwartz scored with 4 minutes left in the period.

The Wild threw everything they had at the net during the third period. It looked like they were trying too hard, which may have ultimately been their downfall. Ryan Suter managed to get on the board with 8.3 seconds left in the game, but in the end it turned out to be too little too late.

The Wild drop their 6^th game in a row, which everyone should have seen coming as the Wild haven't beaten St. Louis since November of 2011. Josh Harding drops his third home game of the season.

After the game, Suter said that he feels like the team has hit rock bottom. Head Coach Mike Yeo disclosed in his post game presser that he's stopped talking to the locker room after games in order to give the team a chance to work through the problems. He stated that trying other things hasn't worked, but honestly that statement really sounds like a last ditch effort to start something.

The Wild are scheduled to practice tomorrow morning. They face the Buffalo Sabres at 7pm on Thursday.
