Good morning WILDerness, and what a beautiful morning it is! Man that felt good last night didn't it? After allowing a goal in the first and another 20 seconds into the 2nd, your Minnesota Wild squad showed they know not only how to score more than 1 goal, but how to net 3 in a very short period of time. Goals in bunches are exciting, contrary to belief withing the Wild locker room.
After a win like that I'm certainly ready to keep this momentum going, unfortunately we will have to wait until Thursday when the Wild travel to Edmonton to take on the Oilers. That's right, Thursday, that is 3 whole days off from games before we do this again. Perhaps Yeo could use the time to practice a few things that have been bugging everyone, but I digress.
The kids coming up from Houston have all looked fantastic! Kuemps got to bring a game puck home for his first career NHL win, congratulations kid! Zucker got his first NHL goal as well, and that puck will be sitting above his fireplace for a long while. Congratulations kid, keep putting those away, you'll make a lot of friends here that way! A big night for the youth of the Wild, and a much needed win. The win places us 1 point ahead of Edmonton in the division and in 2nd place, but still leaves us out of the playoff picture sitting in 10, though tied at 16 points with the 2 teams ahead of us.
So all is well and good in the State of Hockey, til Thursday at least. Lets get into some links now, what do ya say?
