It's over!

Our long, national nightmare is over! Finally, we have a hockey game on tonight! And it's not just any game. The Wild get to face a team whose core went 1-6 against their AHL team this season. Sounds pretty awesome, right?

Well, there's not a whole lot of Wild news going on today. But fortunately, the NHL is picking up the slack a bit on that front. A goalie has gotten a 2 year deal after 9 games. A potentially devastating injury to a star on a top Western Conference team occurred. And the longest tenured coach in the league recently got fired. But don't take my word for it, on to the links.

Tom Gilbert-Nick Schultz trade a win-win for both Oilers, Wild last season | Edmonton Journal- That's good, except for the part where the Oilers win, too.

Has Jason Zucker Earned a One-Way Ticket to the NHL? - Gone Puck Wild - A Minnesota Wild Fan Site- A nice topic, as Zucker's game against Detroit was impressive. But I can't see Granlund staying on the fourth line, or Bouchard sitting in the press box all year. Someone's going to have to get traded or sent to Houston. But a few more goals like he had against Detroit, and it'll be harder to justify taking him out of the lineup.

Tending the Fields

Orlando Solar Bears top Evansville IceMen 6-1 in ECHL play. - OrlandoSentinel.com- This makes sense. In Pokèmon, SolarBear always had the advantage against IceMan.
