Wilderness Walk 4-1-2013: Game Day Edition

Your Minnesota Wild look to extend their home winning streak to 5 against the St. Louis Blues tonight at the Excel Energy Center.

Welcome home Jordan, now get out of the way, we got some winning to do.

Oh, boy Wilderness, here we go again. Another game day is upon us and if your not too busy cleaning up after the weird rabbit that broke into your home last night stashing painted eggs all over your house you should be watching this game. The St. Louis Blues come into the X tonight.

The St. Louis Blues are sitting on 3 days rest and coming off their third consecutive loss. They last met with the Kings last Thursday and were dispatched 4-2 at home. The Blues are a much different team than you may recall from their previous game against the Wild way back on January 27. After a strong start they have been slumping lately and hope to inject a little new energy into their blue line tonight as former Gopher turned St. Louis Blue by way of trade with the Sabers Jordan Leopold makes his debut for the Blues. I know some of you had high hopes the Wild could get Leopold in the firesale that is the Buffalo Sabers franchise right now, but that just wasn't going to happen. Ton of respect for the kid, and he would probably be a good fit around these parts. But if it aint broke don't fix it, and with how your Minnesota Wild are ripping off wins right now it seems less and less likely their going to make any sort of major moves with the trade deadline looming large.

Now, seeing how I have all your attention, I'd like to take a small personal moment to extend my gratitude to all of you for your kind words and thoughts towards my family and me. As many of you know I was married last weekend to my best friend of the last 6 years and mother of my children. My wife (not weird at all to say that) and I appreciate it, and I just wanted to extend a thank you from my family to you.

Now lets get to what you all came for, the links! Happy time wasting folks! Get your gifs ready for the game thread tonight!
