Wilderness Walk 7/7/2013: All Quiet on the FA Front Edition.

New, comments

Saturday's NHL moves brought us, very little to get excited about. The free agency slow down period is in full swing.

Yesterday was a pretty slow day for signings in the free agency world. There were a few depth moves around the league but nothing major coming down the pipeline. The ageless wonders Teemu Selanne and Jaromir Jagr have yet to determine where or if they will be playing in the coming season. Teemu obviously will not being going anywhere else besides Anaheim and it is just a matter of if the robot wants to go through the rigors of another 82 game season. Jagr seems to have some interest around the league and is weighing his options.

The Minnesota Wild have caught a lot of flack from the fan base over the Matt Cooke signing in the past 36 hours. I cannot honestly say I will ever be happy he is here now, but what is done is done and we will all have to learn to live with Chuck Fletcher's decision. He has made a lot of quality moves since being given the reigns here, and only time will tell if this will be one of those.

Without further ado, here are your daily links.
