Another day, another pre-season hockey game. Fear not Wilderness, opening day is only 10 days away.

The Wild are leaving the big guns at home (no sense in making them travel for a game that doesn't count), so it will be up to the kids and the guys battling for roster spots to avenge the Wild loss from last week.

There isn't a whole lot of new information to bring you today, other than the Wild expect to make their first real round of roster cuts after the game tonight. They should be announced at some point on Tuesday.

Most likely, everyone not appearing in a game (and not a staple to the team) will be cut and re-assigned to Iowa/other leagues. The Iowa Wild open their training camp today, and playing their sole pre-season game in Chicago on Friday. Phillips/Foucault/Graovac/McMillan will probably be reassigned as well, along with Landry and Blum.

Rumor has it that the Wild will try to make their final roster cuts before the team heads to Duluth for a training retreat next Monday.

Per Russo, Granlund and Coyle will not be making the road trip today. Granlund has slight upper body injury, and Coyle is having a rest game. The line appears to be some sort of combination of the following (again per Russo).

Forwards: Zucker, Torrey Mitchell, Jake Dowell, Kyle Brodziak, Nino Niederreiter, Matt Cooke, David Steckel (Ohio State), Carson McMillan, Justin Fontaine, Tyler Graovac, Erik Haula, Zack Phillips, Kris Foucault.

Defensemen: Keith Ballard, Clayton Stoner, Jonathon Blum, Nate Prosser, Steven Kampfer, Mathew Dumba, Jon Landry.

Josh Harding will play in net, with Darcy Kuemper as back-up.

Landry and Graovac or Phillips will be scratches for the game itself.
