That's right, Wilderness, we don't only give our devotion to the Minnesota Wild. There's another hockey team we're called upon to serve, and I'm darned excited to root for the American squad in the Olympics.

And I know everyone else here feels the same way. Or had better. You're on notice JS (who hails from Not America), and Ger, (who is from another Not America). Root for America, or else!

Anyway, it's a big day for Team America, as they announced their roster for the 2014 Winter Olympics, which are fast approaching. For the Wild, this represents the best news in some time now, at least for some people. Zach Parise and Ryan Suter will be on the team, but that's no surprise, they've been locks for this whole process. The news was not so good for Jason Pominville, who is off the roster for the Americans. He was not in the running for some time, but his hot start at least put him into the conversation. I guess it wasn't enough.

As for the Wild, things are getting desperate. But fortunately for them, they couldn't be given more of a layup than the Buffalo Sabres at home tonight. Buffalo is even worse than the Wild have been playing as of late. They should, and need to win this game. If they can't do that, then they can't be helped.

Anyway, enjoy your breakfast, and let's go on a walk.
