Wilderness Walk: Gameday Edition

New, comments

The Wild head to the Pepsi Center for a rematch against the Avs.

Marilyn Indahl-USA TODAY Sports

These guys again?  Thanks schedule makers.  The Wild are looking to start the year 2-0 in Colorado tonight as they play the Avalanche for the second time in three nights.  Mike Yeo and the players have made it clear they expect a motivated and dangerous Colorado team on their home ice.  Was Thursday a fluke, or are the Avs just that bad?  Or are the Wild that good?  We may get some answers tonight.

Patrick Roy reshuffled his lines, putting Jarome Iginla and Matt Duchene with Ryan O'Reilly on the top line and Nathan MacKinnon, Alex Tanguay and Gabriel Landeskog on the second.  The Wild lineup and lines appear to be the same, per Yeo.  After posting a 16-save shutout, Darcy Kuemper gets his second start of the year, so you know what that means...

Start time is at 8:00 p.m. Central.  Make sure you hang around the Wilderness for a more in-depth game preview and the game thread.
