Wilderness Walk: Season Opener 2.0 Edition

New, comments

For the Wild, it's time to get back to business. The hiatus is over. How about we spoil another teams home opener tonight!

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning Wilderness! It's game day! OH BOY!!! It's been a long off season, but we're back to action tonight as the Minnesota Wild are looking to spoil the Anaheim Ducks home opener.

Last night was a crazy night in the NHL. It was not however a great night to be a head in a hockey rink where pucks are flying about or the occasional referees shoulder might be. Also, yesterday was not a good day for your health if you were a Colorado Avalanche goalie.

FUN FACT: In 5 games this season, the Avalanche with 7 goals total have yet to surpass the Wild with 8 goals total and the Wild have only played 2 games. The Avs are also sporting -10 in goal differential (17-7).

I suppose I shouldn't pile on. It can't be too much fun for them right now, even if it does put a big 'ole smile on my face.

Speaking of things that put a smile on my face, Tapes n Tapes! They are one of us! And they are your musical feature today!
