The Iowa Wild have hosted the Milwaukee Admirals for their home opener last Friday and a rematch the next day.

In the first matchup, Predators prospect Pontus Aberg opened the score with a PP goal. Zack Mitchell scored his first AHL goal from Michael Keranen and Tyler Graovac. Aberg got his second of the game before the end of the first period. 2-1 Milwaukee after one. The Admirals scored two quick goals and Johan Gustafsson was pulled just 2 minutes into the second. Curt Gogol got a PP goal from a nice Zack Phillips play to make it 4-2. Brett Sutter scored a goal in the third, but it wasn't enough. The Wild lost 4-3. Game highlights.

In the rematch, Joe Pendenza got the Admirals on board with his second goal of the season. Viktor Arvidsson got one on the PP at the end of the first period. 2-0 Milwaukee was the score after one. Arvidsson added two more goals getting the hat trick. Raphael Bussieres was injured in the middle of the second period. He needed assistance to leave the ice and didn't return. After an unsuccessful third, the Admirals beat the Wild 4-0 and they remain undefeated. Game highlights.

The Wild will host the Charlotte Checkers on Friday and Saturday nights.
