Minnesota heads to Garden to take on the Rangers

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

After playing just six games through the first two weeks, Minnesota will play five games over the next eight days. The Rangers open a four-game homestand tonight. These two teams have played some great games against one another as 13 of 16 games between the Rangers and Wild have been decided by either one or two goals. Slowing down Rick Nash will be difficult to do tonight. Nash, (one of  my FAVORITES to watch) has been on absolute tear to start the season, tallying a goal in six of the first seven games. He became the first Ranger in franchise history to do so. Speaking of franchise records, Henrik Lundqvist will start tonight and by doing so will tie Gump Worsley for second on the team's all-time list for appearances by a goaltender.

As for the Wild, not any changes up front. Sames lines as Saturday and Darcy Kumper will start again between the pipes. Christian Folin and Keith Ballard will not make the road trip and are still in Minnesota. Lots of Minnesota connections in tonight's game as well. Derek Stepan and Ryan McDonagh are Minnesota natives. Former SCSU Husky standout Ryan Malone is in his first season with Rangers after one HELL of an off season. Dont forget former Minnesota Wild, Dominic Moore either. The game will be broadcasted on national television tonight and can be seen on the NHL network. Check back in a couple hours for the gamethread. GO WILD!
