Wilderness Walk: Pass the Puck Edition

And with that, the Wild's 4-game winning streak has come to a halt.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Wild had a 4-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning last night down in Florida. It wasn't an overly pretty game for either side, but goals by Steven Stamkos and Alex Killorn would be enough to lift the Lightning to victory. Zach Parise was able to score the lone goal for the Wild last night, his 7th of the season.

Ya know, for as much as I've asked for the Wild to just work on their passing, to connect and not be so sloppy, I kind of wish they didn't take it so seriously too. Like, leave the practice at practice, and actually start shooting the puck in games. Man that would be nice!

Next up for the Wild, they will make the 3 1/2 hour road trip from Tampa Bay to Sunrise Florida to face off against the Florida Panthers on Monday night. A couple familiar faces will greet the Wild in Sunrise. Former Minnesota Golden Gopher Nick Bjugstad will be in the house, as will former Vancouver Canuck netminder Roberto Luongo . The Panthers are a sneaky team, currently sitting just 2 points out of a wild card. Should be a good game come Monday night.

Today's musical selection comes to you from 1996, a little before music started falling apart, and video's were as cheesy as they come... well, music video's have always been pretty cheesy.

NHL responds to concussion lawsuit, says players weren’t mislead | Puck Daddy - Yahoo Sports
I really don't know what to think about this whole lawsuit business. This article lays it out pretty well. The culture of the game is to bash each others heads in, that cannot possibly be the leagues fault. By choice, players are doing things to their bodies that they claim the NHL should be aware would cause long-term harm yet they hold none of the responsibility themselves.
