Minnesota looks to bounce back after an ugly loss at the X.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight the Wild and Stars will faceoff with one another for the third time this season. Minnesota has gotten the best of Dallas in both contests this season, winning 4-1 and 2-1. The Wild have NOT played well in the American Airlines Center either, as they are 4-21-2... The Stars come into Saturday’s tilt having earned wins in 19 of the last 21 games against the Wild in Dallas dating back to the start of the 2003-04 season.

It will be Darcy Kuemper between the pipes tonight too despite an ugly appearance against the Kings on Wednesday. Darcy has posted both wins against the Stars this year, stopping 46-48 shots. Not to mention Niklas Backstrom has posted awful career numbers in Dallas. Dr. Russo is proclaiming that Jonas Brodin should be able to dress tonight for the first time since November 11th. Brodin was infected with mumps virus and unless he has a setback in warm-ups or a bad pregame lunch of some sort, he should be good to go. So which blue liner gets scratched tonight? I'd personally like to see Nate Prosser not touch the ice (ever) and have Keith Ballard and Matt Dumba on the third pairing. I have been pretty critical of Ballard since he was signed, but this season and especially lately, he has taken over the "goon" role. With Matt Cooke still sidelined, and Minnesota's lack of overall bruiser, if you will, he has done a nice job.

I would not be too surprised if Yeo waves his magical hand and shakes up the lines tonight, but who knows. Check back at 7:15 for the game thread. GO WILD.
