Wilderness Walk: Movember Finale Edition

New, comments

It's the last day of Movember, wives and girlfriends everywhere rejoice!

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The Wild completed a tough stretch of games combined with travel last night when they lost in a shootout to the St. Louis Blues. Despite looking pretty good for most of the game, and Backstrom even stopping 2 of 3 in the shootout, (what!?) the Wild were unable to finish when a Ryan Suter turnover late in the 3rd period left Blues big guy David Backes alone on Backstroms glove side, he didn't miss.

So the Wild get a mandatory day off today, and a very optional practice on Monday where coach Yeo said he would be urging some of the Wild's "big minute" guys to stay home as well. Don't expect a whole lot of news besides maybe learning Marco Scandella, who just signed an contract extension before last nights game, gets a call from the Department of Player Safety Jokes.

I hope you all enjoyed an extra couple days off (assuming you had Thursday and Friday off from work/school), but it's time to get ready for another dismal Monday. Lots for you to dig through in today's walk, so lets get at it.

Today's musical selection comes to you from a band that found some commercial success with a song that probably drives you a little screwy. It's been featured in movies, all over the radio, and bad karaoke bars across the globe. This is not that song, and I assure you if you can get past the over-hyped radio bliss that is You Get What You Give, you will likely enjoy a lot of their sole album. Today's song is the title track of that album, Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too.
