The Wild will be without Scandella tonight.

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight Minnesota plays its first game away from the X in nearly two weeks, when they faceoff in San Jose against the Sharks. We learned that the Wild will be without Marco Scandella's services for the next two games, as he was suspended by the NHL. Not to mention Keith Ballard is out indefinitely with facial fractures and a concussion. So being down two D-men, the Wild will reunite Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon, Brodin is with Christian Folin and Justin Falk with Nate Prosser. We also know that Darcy Kuemper will be in the net tonight for the Wild.

The Wild are 8-15-3 life time against the Sharks and 1-8-1 in the last 10 contests at the SAP Center. Minnesota won the first contest of the season with a 4-3 shootout victory at Xcel Energy Center. Kuemper is 1-0-1 with a 2.91 GAA and a .887 SV% in three games (two starts) against the Sharks. Alex Stalock former UMD Bulldog will make his first professional start against the Wild tonight. Stalock is the cousin of Adam Wilcox, the starting goalie for the Golden Gohpers.

Minnesota and San Jose will not faceoff until 9:30 central-time. So the gamethread will not be up until at least 9:15 tonight.
