I want to spare you the details of this on so that you can enjoy your holiday.

Minnesota spotted the Flyers the first 8 shots on goal and two goal right off the bat. Minnesota didn't get its first shot on goal until around the 10 minutes mark of the first. it was followed up with its second shot on goal that happened to be a booming slap shot from Marco Scandella to cut the Flyers lead in half.

In the second period, the Wild attempted to tie the game. It would eventually get a power play after Brayden Schenn was stupid and closed his hand on the puck. A Jason Pominville point shot deflected off Charlie Coyle's knee for the equalizer. Then Wayne freaking Simmonds scored after the Wild fought to get clear the puck at their own blue line. It was a terrible all-around play by the Wild.

Darcy Kuemper got the start after Niklas Backstrom was ruled out after falling ill prior to the game. The Wild didn't do much to help him, but the second and third goals were not very good. The second goal was a juicy rebound off his right pad. Darcy needed to handle his rebound better, but no defenseman was there to pick up Claude Giroux. The Simmonds goal, Kuemper was definitely off his angle a bit.

The Wild decided to start their holiday weekend early with very little push back in the third. Sure, Zach parise looked to have tied the game early in the period, but the puck slipped underneath the net after Pominville was checked into it. Then Vincent Lecavalier had a nice tip-in deflection to squeak one by Kuemper.

Minnesota just couldn't mount much. They weren't skating and trying too many stretch-pass plays that just didn't work. Thomas Vanek looked to have brought the score to within one, but he clearly played it with a high stick.

It was one of those games...

Enjoy your Holiday eveyone. Hopefully on the other side we can see more W's come the Wild's way.
