Iowa Wild's week report

Here's a short recap of last week’s Iowa Wild games.

Jen Fuller

The Wild have played three games last week. They hosted the Rochester Americans last Thursday, then were in Milwaukee Friday and in Chicago Sunday.

Former Wild prospect Johan Larsson led the Americans to a 4-2 win scoring two goals. Zack Phillips and Tyler Graovac scored for Iowa in the loss. Johan Gustafsson made 31 saves and had an assist on Graovac's goal. Game highlights.

In Milwaukee, Hannu Toivonen made his Wild debut after signing a PTO last week. He didn't make a very good first impression though. Toivonen was pulled before the start of the third period after allowing 8 goals on 25 shots. Pekka Rinne and the Admirals destroyed the Wild 9-1. Newly acquired Zach Miskovic was the lone Wild scorer. Game highlights, if you dare.

In Chicago, Adam Cracknell and AHL veteran Keith Aucoin led the Wolves to a 4-0 win. Jake Allen got the shutout while John Curry made 26 saves despite the loss. Game highlights.

That was a disaster week and the Wild have been outscored 21-4 in the past 4 games. Things will get tougher as Iowa will be in Grand Rapids playing the Griffins twice starting tomorrow night. They'll be in Milwaukee next Wednesday.
