Wild take on the Perds in the final regular season game for 2013-2014

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the final regular season game of the 2013-2014 season Wilderness. Tonight, your Minnesota Wild take on the Nashville Predators, and hope to get 2 points and hit the 100pt mark for only the second time in franchise history (They had 104 points in the 2006-07 season).

The Wild are coming off two game-free days (one off day and one practice). Kyle Brodziak left yesterday's practice with some soreness, but he appears to be on the ice for this morning optional skate. Mikael Granlund returned to practice with the team yesterday, but will not be in the lineup tonight.

The Predators are hot off a 7-5 win against Chicago last night. Granted, Chicago is missing Jonathon Toews and Patrick Kane. Marian Hossa was also sat after hitting his 30th goal of the season halfway through the 1st period. Regardless, the Predators are sure to be flying high after beating the defending champs.

Jason Pominville is looking for his 30th goal of the season tonight. Zach Parise is 2 goals shy of hitting 30 as well. Jonas Brodin is 1 point away from having a 20 point season, while young guns Charlie Coyle, Nino Niederreiter and Granlund all have 30 points or more (30,34,41 respectively).

Today's practice was optional, but the line up is expected to be the same as it was against the Jets and Bruins with the exception of Clayton Stoner being in instead of Jon Blum.

It's possible to know who the Wild will play in the first round before they step on the ice tonight. Basically if St. Louis loses today against Detroit, the Wild play Colorado. Colorado has to match the amount of points St. Louis gets out of today's game to win the division and play the Wild.

Edit: According to Russo, Brodziak will be out for tonight's game. Blum will still be in as the wild are play 7 D.
