The Minnesota Wild shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins, which may not be as awesome as it sounds.

Justin K. Aller

Your Minnesota Wild shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night and as awesome as that sounds, I have my doubts the Penguins were all there.

I decent 4-0 taking apart of one of the best teams in the East would have been very impressive had it happened earlier when the Penguins still had something to play for.  The performance, while impressive, was against a disinterested Penguins squad who earlier in the day had their position in the playoffs locked up.

I'll take it though.  The Wild can use every easy point they can get right now, thanks Pittsburgh.

The Wild shutout the Penguins!!! A team that probably doesn't care too much about the loss.

Souhan: In a flash, Wild gets big boost from Haula | Star Tribune
All of a sudden, Haula is on Souhan's radar. It does make the case, if the Wild were to trade Granlund (sacrilege, I know!) then the person you compare the trade to is no who we get back, but Erik Haula himself.
