I mean, how can you not like the Nino Niederreiter deal? This guy stuck a knife in the hearts of Colorado Avalanche fans everywhere, and in doing that, sealed a place in the hearts of Minnesota Wild fans everywhere. It's a great deal for both sides and ensures the Wild will have a terrific asset for 3 more years. I'll cheers to that!

Some good nuggets to sift through in today's walk, including some rule changes coming soon to an NHL near you, the Battle of California gets a response from the Minnesota Wild (Whaaaaaa?), and of course some bits on the Nino Niederreiter contract.
