BREAKING NEWS: Harding Down with Injured Ankle

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

According to multiple sources, including the Star Tribune's Michael Russo, Josh Harding is down with an ankle injury. At current, we know nothing more as far as if it is a break or a sprain, though Russo did say on the phone with KFAN's Dan Barreiro that he was on crutches. Indications are this injury occured off the ice, in an "accident" although no details were given as to the nature of the incident.

Russo made it sound as though this had been the case for at least 48 hours as he's missed a few days of captains practice.  No time frame for his return was offered although Russo did speculate it could be as little as 2 weeks, but felt he would likely be out "long term".

Also with Barreiro, Russo said the Wild had reached out to Ilya Bryzgalov to set up a try-out, though had not yet made an offer to sign the Russian net minder.

Obviously, this will have implications for the ongoing negotiations between the Wild and Darcy Kuemper. Russo stated on the radio that he would pull the trigger with a one-way deal immediately, though we have not yet heard anything from team representatives.
