Dubnyk starts for the 4th time in four games. Prosser in, Dumba out.

Tonight the Minnesota Wild will be in Detroit , on the heels of a back-back after dropping one in St. Paul on Monday evening. Darcy Kuemper was activated from the IR and will back up Devan Dubnyk despite belief that Kuemper or Niklas Backstrom would start. Speaking of Backstrom, he is a healthy scratch tonight since the Wild are still carrying three goalies on the roster. Nate Prosser will dress tonight in place of Matt Dumba, as Yeo really missed his penalty kill "presence." Prosser will be paired with Christian Folin and Minnesota has its top four blue liners dressing. The plan last night was to limit Ryan Suters minutes, well, Suter logged 30 minutes in his first game back. Since were on the heels of a back-to-back maybe the pairings will be divided out more evenly. Maybe. No Mikael Granlund either as he has not been cleared to return.

Tonight is the 50th all-time meeting between the two teams and Wings own a lifetime record of 25-15-9 against the Wild. The Joe Louis Arena has not been too friendly to Minnesota either, owning a 8-16-1 record in Detroit. Devan Dubnyk is 2-1-2 with a 2.47 GAA and a .924 SV% in five career starts.
