To the disappointment of sarcastic hockey bloggers everywhere, Minnesota is expected to get an outdoor game in the 15-16 season, per Bob McKenzie.
As I just said on @NBCSN pre-game show, expectation is NHL will announce this weekend outdoor games next season for COL and MIN.

MIN's opponent expected to be CHI; COL's opponent expected to be DET. BOS, of course, will host MTL on Jan. 1 in Winter Classic in Foxboro.

We'll have more information as it comes, such as which stadium they'll be using, but what's clear is the long-awaited Minnesota Outdoor Game will be happening.
This Stadium Series game will likely have the Wild hosting the Chicago Blackhawks, which makes a lot of sense, due to the geographical proximity, old vitriol between the fanbases due to the North Stars-Blackhawks rivalry, recent playoff match-ups, and big-name stars in Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Dan Carcillo.
Again, we'll have more reaction as information becomes available.
