Wilderness Walk: Game Day Edition

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight, your Minnesota Wild welcome some team from a place called "The Windy City" to St. Paul to do battle on sacred ice. Apparently there's some kind of history between these two teams, but I, for the life of me, cannot recall any of it. Perhaps it's selective memory on my part, or perhaps it's something greater. Who knows.

This alleged team played last night against the Winnipeg Jets, though I haven't heard news breaking yet that Dustin Byfuglien ate the entire squad in a post-win celebration for the Jets. If they did manage to escape the black hole that is Byfuglien's mouth, they may be a little tired from not only freeing themselves from the gravitational pull therein, but they did play a game as well. Who knows though. Rumor has it, this team is always dangerous.

Fortunately, the Wild have fate on their side. Given their record to date, they are on pace to win 41 home games this season. It would be wise for the other guys to not tempt the fates!
