The week of Thanksgiving is upon us at last. By the end of the week all of the Christmas displays that have been up for half a month already will be acceptable, not a crime against nature. The Wild have a bit of a breather, but then three games in four days starting Wednesday. I am very thankful for hockey because it will give me something to talk to with my uncles and cousins that isn't my life. Hopefully the Wild's Thanksgiving eve game will have some positives to discuss, but really, talking about depressing sports things is still better than answering questions about whether I'm thinking about grad school. As we inch closer to the holiday season let's take a moment to appreciate one of the beautiful things about sports: it's something you can talk to your family about. I think that's beautiful.
Anyway, enough of that. I've really been enjoying Grimes new album. It's dynamic and weird and fun — the perfect sounds to start a Monday morning.
