After 3 much needed days of rest, the Wild return to action tonight at the X in their first contest of the season against the Canucks.  The break has given the Wild the ability to get a couple very important players close to a return and put some distance between the team and the flu bug that ruined their East Coast trip last week.  The continuing inability of the Nashville Predator to score (now shoutout 3 straight games) has cast them down the standings and returned the Wild to 3rd place in the Central.  As we said last week when the Wild were struggling, every team goes through bad phases and quality teams find a way to recover.  We are now seeing that played out with the fortune of our opponents and will continue to see that as the season progresses.  While the Wild will still be short Zach Parise, Marco Scandella, Tyler Graovac and Justin Fontaine (who is eligible to return as soon as Friday), things are looking up as the Wild found their game and dictated the flow of play in their most recent contest.

We also have a shiny new sweater to look forward to - check out our article yesterday and let us know your thoughts on the Stadium Series jerseys.  There have certainly been mixed opinions.

Lastly, as I've struggled to find anything relevant and meaningful to say regarding everything going on at Precinct 4 in Minneapolis, I will let the powerful words of John Lennon and Bob Marley do the talking for me.  Here's to hoping a peaceful resolution can be found.  On to the Walk...
