It's finally happening, we have a game! After 4 days off the Wild are back in action against Central Division foe Nashville.

There may be no team in the NHL more similar to the Wild than the Nashville Predators.  The Division rivals boast an above-average but not elite offense.  Their defense stifles opponents by suppressing shots in front of a very good goaltender.  Their biggest improvement of the young season comes on special teams, though in this case, it is their PK that has improved and is elite.  Playing the Preds is a bit like looking in the mirror for the hometown team, and though these competitions aren't usually the high-event hockey some fans lust over, they are showcases of skill and determination that lead to very compelling hockey.

And so it has been for a few years between Nashville and Minnesota, highlighted by Ryan Suter jilting the Predators in favor of joining Zach Parise with the Wild.  Tonight is another chapter in the ongoing story between the teams who seem destined for the same place in the standings.  The Wild has to avoid the inevitable first period letdown after 4 days off, and weather the storm until they find their legs.  Look for a speedier Wild lineup to attempt to take advantage of some matchups with aging players for the Predators.

Here's a fun music video for a game day.  We Walk.
