Preview: Lightning @ Wild

Parise-less Wild host the Lightning tonight.

Marilyn Indahl-USA TODAY Sports

The injuries are piling up for the Minnesota Wild as they lost both Zach Parise and Nate Prosser on Thursday night. Luckily, it doesn't sound like Parise injury is too serious, he will miss the rest of the homestand. It was reported by Dr. Russo that Parise is week-week with a sprained MCL. As for Prosser, he hurt his back and is ruled out for tonight so Christian Folin will take his place. With injuries to Prosser, Fontaine, Graovac and now Parise, the Wild recalled Christoph Bertschy from Iowa. Bertschy is a center in his first season in the AHL. He has collected six points (2-4=6) in 12 games with Iowa this season.

With Parise out and Mikael Granlund & Jason Pominville playing about as putrid as it gets, Yeo shifted some things around for tonight. The Koivu line is not being touched, but Charlie Coyle will move from center and skate with Granlund and Pominville on the right wing. Bertschy is paired with Thomas Vanek and Erik Haula tonight. I know Granlund and Pommer have to get going, but Vanek with Haula and Bertchy? Vanek logged a season-high 20:39 minutes on Thursday, (mainly because of Parise's injury) but I just do not see that line being very productive. Haula has been mediocre self and although Bertschy has been productive on a depleted Iowa team, we have no idea how well he'll preform in his debut. Jordan Schroeder is on the fourth line tonight with Chris Porter and Ryan Carter.

Minnesota has an all time record of 7-2-0 against Tampa Bay at Xcel Energy Center. Devan Dubnyk gets the start tonight, Doobie played one his better games on Thursday until he let in the game winning goal. Lets see if he can bounce back against the Eastern Conference champs. Ben Bishop has lost four straight, no word on whether he's starting tonight. Gamethread opens at 6:30 tonight. Go Wild!
